I’ve been saying this for awhile. BERLIN is the 64th to 69th positions of the stego, and does not equate to NYPVTT. He makes a distinction between what he considers to be K4 and what others refer to as K4.
“So now, after 20 years, Mr. Sanborn is nudging the process along. He has provided The New York Times with the answers to six letters in the sculpture’s final passage. The characters that are the 64th through 69th in the final series on the sculpture read NYPVTT. When deciphered, they read BERLIN.”
Look at his comments from The New York Times about the CLOCK clue:
“Since then, the fans, many of whom keep up a lively online conversation, have come up empty-handed. And so Mr. Sanborn has decided to open the door a bit more with five additional letters, those in the 70th through 74th position.”
He never says that CLOCK has anything to do with K4 or that the letters MZFZK decode to CLOCK.
Sanborn loves people making assumptions and filling in KRYPTOS holes with their own wrong ideas.
