Knowing that “abscissa” has 8 letters…
1) There are 8 words in K1 that have an odd number of letters. I see no clues from those words.
2) There are 8 “indexable” words in K1; (leaving out “and”, “the”, “of”).
IF you design to extract a single letter from each word – there is only one possible way to get “abscissa”. Taking letters number: 1, 1, 3, 4, 2, 4, 3, 5 from the words and then rearranging the letters. I see no a-priori motivation to select those numbers.
3) Arranging K1 in an 8×8 matrix, “abscissa” can be extracting by taking a single letter from each row – but there are several ways (6, I think) to do that. I did not see any pattern to suggest a motivation for this. Column extraction doesn’t work and neither did a clockwise spiral entry into the matrix.
